Dr. Christine E. Wood teaches Biblical and Systematic Theology at Catholic Distance University in the USA, and is an Adjunct Lecturer at the University of Notre Dame in Fremantle, Australia. She was also a Professor of Theology at John Paul the Great Catholic University in San Diego.

Dr. Christine E. Wood teaches Biblical and Systematic Theology at Catholic Distance University in the USA, and is an Adjunct Lecturer at the University of Notre Dame in Fremantle, Australia. She was also a Professor of Theology at John Paul the Great Catholic University in San Diego.

Christine is the President of the St. John Centre for Biblical Studies in Sydney and the Director of the Office of Evangelisation & Catechesis in the Archdiocese of Hobart.

In 2015 Christine established the Verbum Domini Biblical & Catechetical Institute based in Hobart with the aim to form missionary disciples for the new evangelisation.

Dr. Wood received her Ph.D. in Systematic Theology from Marquette University, Milwaukee, with a dissertation entitled, The Metaphysics and Intellective Psychology in the Natural Desire for Seeing God: Henri de Lubac and Neo-Scholasticism.

She earned her M.A. in Theology, as well as a Certification in Catechetics, from Franciscan University of Steubenville.

Besides university level courses, Christine has presented parish-based courses on Scripture and theology to foster biblical literacy amongst the faithful. She has also delivered conference presentations on the philosophy and theology of St Thomas Aquinas.
