I am a strong believer in the Real Presence of Jesus Christ in the Eucharist. However, I did not always firmly believe this.
How did I come to change my mind? By reading the writings of the early Church Fathers. They were men who wrote between the years AD90 and AD749 and who were renowned for their sanctity and devotion to Christ and Church teaching.
Before discovering the Church Fathers, I associated with Baptists who believed they were the restoration of early Christianity, in opposition to the semi-pagan post-Constantinian Catholic Church. Once I came to read the Church Fathers, I discovered that this was not the case. What the Fathers wrote on the Eucharist especially astonished me, forever convincing me of both the Apostolic origins and truth of Catholic teaching on the Mass and the Eucharist.
It is the purpose of this booklet to introduce readers to the Eucharist writings of the earliest Church Fathers (pre-AD 325), with the hope that all who do so read, come to the same joyful realization I did so many years ago. - From the Author.
